Special programmes

Mop Star washing machines and dryers offer numerous special programmes for a broad range of textiles, such as for the disinfection and preparation of mops and cleaning cloths, as well as for washing pads, curtains and floor mats. A programme for thorough machine sanitisation also ensures maximum hygiene. What’s more, programmes can be pre-set, which ensures top reprocessing quality when combined with Miele’s patented pre-spin.

Patented pre-spin

Wet and heavily soiled mops and cleaning cloths place great demands on the wash process. The pre-spin process is designed to minimise the amount of dirt, cleaning water and chemical residues entering the wash process. The result is a particularly seamless, gentle and efficient reprocessing process.

Ready to use – washing and preparation in a single step

Miele has developed a process for the automatic preparation of mops and cleaning cloths directly in the washing machine. This method ensures the precise dosing of detergent or disinfectant, leaving mops and cleaning cloths ready for use straight from the washing machine. The ready-to-use approach therefore results in significant savings, not only with respect to water and chemicals but also to valuable working time. The time and energy taken up by drying in the dryer is also no longer required.

Perfectly calibrated technology

Developed for the challenges of daily life, they guarantee the perfect reprocessing of mops, cloths, workwear and other textiles.

Unobstructed gravity drainage

To prevent blockages in the drainage system, Mop Star washing machines from Miele Professional feature a dump valve that is particularly resistant to blockages. The valve has an optimised closing mechanism and an enlarged cross-section. What’s more, the entire drain assembly has been designed without corners and bends. This reliably prevents blockages caused by coarse soil, hairs, fibres or deposits.

Miele honeycomb drum

Mops are given special treatment in Miele’s honeycomb drum, ensuring gentle protection and preserving value. Precisely finished perforations in the drum rear panel feature carefully rounded edges. The risk of laddering is reduced to a bare minimum compared with a conventional drum – even at high spin speeds.

Lint filter box

Particularly in reprocessing mops and other cleaning textiles with long threads, fluff and lint presents a major challenge. Inside the machine, an accumulation of soil is further prevented by such features as cantilever heater elements. A fluff filter box captures lint from the water discharged from the machine, thereby effectively preventing blockages in on-site pipework.
