Con@ctivity inoperative despite WiFi connection

Con@ctivity 3.0 is not working but the WiFi connection is intact. The hob and the cooker hood are connected to the home network and the Miele app but Con@ctivity between the hob and the cooker hood is not working. Disconnecting the energy supply does not solve the problem.

At least one repeater is in use on the WiFi network.

A classic WiFi repeater sets up its own WiFi. Although the WiFi from the repeater may have the same name as the main WiFi, it is entirely separate from it. The hob can connect to the WiFi repeater while the cooker hood connects to the main WiFi, for example. In this case, although the hob and the cooker hood are connected to the same WiFi network (SSID), they are working with 2 physically separate radio cells.

Take the WiFi repeater out of operation temporarily so that the hob and the cooker hood are physically connected to the same radio cell.

If taking the WiFi repeater out of operation temporarily solves the problem, check if the WiFi repeater can be configured with its own WiFi network (SSID). Then connect the hob and the cooker hood to your WiFi network (SSID).

Alternatively, you can attempt troubleshooting as follows:

  • Despite logging on successfully, Con@ctivity is inoperative

  • The cooker hood does not switch on until several minutes after the hob has been switched on
